PARASITOLOGY
Rapid Analysis of Intestinal Parasites from Faecal Samples

Product Line

Parasys

Performance Benefits

• Increased sensitivity
• Rapid automated transfer of parasite concentrates into ParaSlide™ optical assembly for analysis
• Improved morphology of Ova, Larvae, Cysts and Oocysts in our ParaSlide™ as there is no coverslip distortion
• More consistent results with fixed sample size and human error eliminated which enables laboratories to have a Standardised procedure in place
• Saves money with no slides, coverslips or pipettes required – faster than manual microscope processing
• Optimises human resources, reducing operational time

Health and Safety Benefits

• Safer for lab staff as no contact with hazardous samples or reagents
• Self Cleaning at the push of a button before and after samples are processed, no cross contamination

30ML TRANSPORT VIALS

PARASITOLOGY
For Transport of Faecal Specimens
For Intestinal Parasite Examination
Single Use In Vitro Diagnostic Device

Product Line

005-007 30ml Clean Vials (sterile)

Background

In the laboratory, intestinal parasites are confirmed by the identification of cysts, protozoan trophozoites, larvae, and helminth eggs. The priorities of these clinical laboratories do not always permit the immediate examination of a fresh sample. The prompt collection and transportation of these samples cannot always be guaranteed.

Furthermore, freezing, refrigeration and / or incubation of samples cannot ensure the full recovery of parasites at all stages of identification.

The ReIngenuity Transportation Vial will preserve the intestinal parasites in the faecal material until such time it can be examined by a qualified parasitologist.

Product Description

URASYS

URINARY SEDIMENT EXAMINATION

Product Line

Urasys

Background

Traditional microscopic examination of urine sediments is labour intensive and can be subject to great inconsistency as human variations in preparing and loading the samples take their effect. Automated urine readers have helped to reduce the problem, however as high as 40% of samples racked for automated urinalysis are referred back to the lab staff for further microscopic examination. This can create a daily burden on valuable staff time and resources and has other inherent disadvantages.

Product Description

Traditional Method

• Takes time to mix and subsequently load the sample onto the slide/coverslip.
• Viscous samples can obscure matter causing difficult and inaccurate reading.
• Migration of sample to the edge of the coverslip can cause difficult and inaccurate reading.
• The sampling process is messy and can cause contamination of work benches etc.
• Slides and coverslips add to costly “hazardous” disposal waste

Urasys Method

• Sample is mixed and loaded automatically onto the UraSlide'”.
• Viscous samples are easily diluted to provide a useful sample.
• There is no sample migration to the outside of the coverslip – the sample “floats” within the UraSlide'”.
• The sampling process is enclosed with no mess.
• There are no slides or coverslips – the UraSlide'” does this job and is re-usable.
